the thing, the second & the fist
Lagomarsino’s practice centres on modes of representation, unfolding a theatricality that hovers between the absurd and the romantic – at once hot and precarious. His compositional work opens through speculation and an ongoing inquiry into the transmission of information. In the first, the second & the fist, he exhibits an ongoing practice of staging a duet; not only with another human being, but with something else, be it a fiction, reggaeton, a nude pic, an impossible text or a social representation, as a way to loosen the immediacy between meaning and what is being seen.
