IRD ANAN
It is not easy to observe oneself and the world. But once we open the door to silence that occurs between moments, to a veil of light on one’s skin, and to honesty that comes without words, a certain magic reveals itself. There is beauty in a tiny movement of the senses or in a thought that occurs out of nowhere. This beauty is quiet, overlooked, but always present. We only need to allow ourselves to recognise it. What do you find beautiful? Is beauty universal or culturally conditioned? How does society influence our way of thinking about beauty? What does it mean to be beautiful? These are some of the questions that have guided the XX dance group through research, conversations, and interconnections, resulting in the performance titled IRD ANAN.
