23.00-23.45

Witkowsky is an Amsterdam-based performer and live artist, interested in the critical, playful, and resistant potentials of improvisational strategies. As a performance piece, dragonfly stands for hacking routines and disrupting protocols. The mundane is transformed into a stage for rehearsing the flexible yet uncompromising tactics that might serve to confront disciplinary structures. Through a live negotiation of the relationship between the body, objects, sound, and audience, Wittkowsky explores possible strategic attitudes oscillating between defiance, hesitation, lament, and mischief. In an attempt to recode movement and meaning, questions about desire, recklessness, and responsibility arise. This is a chaotic yet precise dance along the edges of the rational.
